"Myracles Happen"

Epilogue

Four Years later…..

“We’re going to the doctor’s office to see what sex it is!” Myracle told October.

Myracle and Troy stopped at October’s home before heading to the doctor’s office. After their marriage October and Kristian bought a home together. In this home they had their first born children. October gave birth to two baby boys. From then she quit her job and focused on raising the kids. She had a handful because like their father the two boys just loved action. Kristian worked during the day as the captain of his precinct and at night he returned home to his family. They seemed happy and seemed to be working fine.

Myracle was extremely happy and eager to find out the baby’s sex. After she found out the sex she would begin shopping for things for the child. In the beginning of her pregnancy Myracle had continued to work as usual but as time passed this became exponentially hard. Myracle quit working after she appeared on Oprah and Oprah pointed out how hard it must be to work and be pregnant at the same time. After that she came to realize Oprah was right.

Myracle and Troy moved a little slower after the marriage. They were married for a year before Troy decided to move into Myracle’s large home. Years followed this as Myracle focused on her company. She found sponsors for the non-profitable organization and worked on promotion. Until six months ago her company was her child and she loved hearing the amazing stories that the mothers shared with her. Now, she was six months pregnant and extremely large.

“You will also find out just how many babies you will be having.” October said extending her hand and rubbing Myracle’s stomach.

“Oh God, don’t say that! Bite your tongue!” Myracle said smacking her sister’s hand away.

“No, don’t bite tongue!” K JR said to Myracle. Myracle smiled at the child and waved him along.

Almost immediately following K JR’s exit came June’s entrance. “Mama I want juice.” He said to her.

The two children were identical yet if you paid attention you could tell them apart. June was polite and quiet while K JR loved to drag his brother around and run all over the house. Both kids were adorable and Myracle loved them. She looked at them and imagined her child. She couldn’t wait for a little person to call her mama.

October retrieved some juice and gave it to June. She poured a second cup and left it on the counter. “What’s the second one for?” Myracle questioned.

“K….” October said.

Just then little K ran into the kitchen and looked up at October. She handed him the juice and he walked out of the kitchen with a smile on his face.

“That’s amazing….” Myracle said. She looked down at her stomach and wondered if she would be able to predict things about her child. Would she have a good relationship with it? Would she be able to raise it correctly? Myracle sighed and looked at her watch.

“Don’t worry about it. Everything will go great.” October said patting her sister’s shoulder.

“I sure hope so….” Myracle said. The baby kicked and she laughed. Was the child already trying to tell her not to worry? Was her child already attempting to comfort her?

“So you thought of any names yet?!” October said setting a new tone.

“I was thinking if it’s a girl…. I might name it April.” Myracle smiled at October and October shook her head.

“You do that and we’ll only need nine more babies with a month name to have a whole year.” October teased. “I named that little rascal June because I actually wanted to do what mom did. I never once regretted that I was named October.”

“Yes you did. But you got over it and June will too. Besides June isn’t such a bad name for a man. If anything they can call him J. Then it will be J & K….. JK… you need an L get to baby making.” Myracle giggled at her own sad joke and rubbed her stomach.

“Yea… I laughed at my own sad jokes when I was pregnant too.” October said turning away from her sister and looking at her sink. “I guess I have a lot to do” she said picking up a plate from a pile that occupied the sink.

*****************************************

“TWO BABY GIRLS!!” Troy yelled into the phone to his mother. He held his phone against his ear using his one hand and held the black and white picture of his two children the other hand. His mother congratulated him and wished him good luck. She noted how hard it was to raise a baby and couldn’t imagine multiplying it by two. Troy laughed and agreed with his mother before hanging up and deciding he needed to make copies of his first children’s first photo.

“Now we can go home.” Myracle said tossing her magazine to the side. “I called my mother and October and you called your mother. Let’s get out of this office.” Myracle grunted and Troy noted that her current fertile position made her bitter quicker.

“Yes, we may go home.” He said grabbing her hand and helping her out of the seat. He wrapped his hand around her shoulder and walked with her. Together they walked out of the building and to Troy’s car. Troy helped Myracle load into his car and then walked around to the driver’s side. They began riding away and Myracle seemed to calm down. She began rubbing her stomach.

“So what will we name them?” he said to her hoping the topic would lighten her mood even more.

“I was thinking maybe Tracie and April.” Myracle said.

“Where did Tracie come from?” he asked.

“I tried to come up with something close to Troy that was feminine. I have Trinity, Tracie, Troya, Tory, and other ones I already eliminated.” She said to him.

Troy laughed a loud bark of laughter. “Troya is DEFFINATELY out of the list.” He said smiling at her.

“What?! Don’t look at me like I’m crazy it is a name. It means water.” She said to him waving her finger around.

“Alright, but that will not be our baby’s name. Neither will Tory because it just sounds like a guy’s name.” he said.

“I worked so hard to switch your letters around.” She said her eyes going soft. “Don’t you like any of my names?!?” she said her eyes looking watery.

“Oh baby, no I love your names.” He said reaching for her hand as he drove.

“BUT YOU’RE LAUGHING!” she said her words sounding hurt.

“It was laughter out of love. Besides, I like the name Tracie. We’ll name them April and Tracie.” He said nodding. Myracle nodded with him and managed to suck up her tears. She held his hand tight and he thought about how happy he made her. They were having children together… Just amazing.

Myracle laid her free hand on her stomach and bowed he head. “Hey you girls in there.” She said softly to them “Your names are Tracie and April. Don’t ask which is which because the sonograms aren’t that great.” Myracle smiled at her words.

I love it! YAY for Myracle and October and their babies. Tracie? Such a random name.
